Rev Krista Jacobson Thompson received her degree in Health Education and Gerontology from the University of Oregon in 1977. She worked in the field of gerontology for many years. During that time Krista, like Usui, noticed that healing is mental, emotional, physical and soul, were among the most valuable factors in the healing process.

 

Krista has studied numerous health modalities and discovered Reiki to be the modality which seemed to fit best with her theories about healing. She has practiced Reiki since 1995, and has been teaching it since 2003.
